  • 1 cup of preferred sliced fruit215 1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour155
  • 2 cups of milk488 2 egg yolks, beaten34
  • 2 tablespoons of corn starch15 2 tablespoons of white sugar25
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract10 3 tablespoons of white sugar35
  • 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted115 Whipped cream (in can)10
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt2

Cooking Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
  • Step 2
    Combine first 4 ingredients and mix until a soft dough is formed, then press into a 9-inch tart pan (for convenience, with removable bottom) to form the tart shell.
  • Step 3
    Refrigerate the tart shell for 30 minutes, then prick with a fork and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool on rack.
  • Step 4
    In a small saucepan, mix the rest of the ingredients and then place on medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Step 5
    Let the mixture cool before spreading over the bottom of the tart shell.
  • Step 6
    Top the tart with preferred choice of sliced fruit, and cover with whipped cream.
