Cooking Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Step 2
    Mix the salt, paprika and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture evenly into the skin of the duck.
  • Step 3
    Place the duck on a pan and roast it in the oven for one hour. While the duck is being roasted, melt the butter.
  • Step 4
    After one hour, pour half the amount of melted butter over the duck. Allow the duck to roast for an additional 45 minutes.
  • Step 5
    After 45 minutes, pour the remaining amount of melted butter on the duck and roast the duck until it becomes golden brown. This should take 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Once done, remove the duck from the oven and using a knife, carve the duck meat out. Lay the slices of duck neatly on a serving plate.
