Ingredients

  • Chinese cooking wine8 mlChinese five spice8 g
  • Ground white pepper8 gHoney32 g
  • Oyster sauce12 gpork shoulder2000 g
  • soya sauce16 mlSugar12 g
  • Sweet bean sauce12 g

Cooking Method

  • Step 1
    Cut the pork shoulder into small parts and slices.
  • Step 2
    In a bowl, add the rest of all the ingredients. Add in the cut up pork shoulder and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Seal the bowl tightly with clingwrap and let the pork shoulder marinate overnight in the fridge.
  • Step 4
    After one night of marinating, lay out the pork shoulder on a tray.
  • Step 5
    Roast the pork shoulder in batches. The oven should be around 180 degrees Celsius. Leave each batch in the oven for around 15 minutes.
  • Step 6
    After 15 minutes, add another layer of marinate sauce on the pork shoulder. Put the tray back in the oven for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Once done, serve hot and alongside bowls of rice.
